Liverpool supporters believe Chelsea may have to form a guard of honour for them if Jürgen Klopp`s side secures the Premier League title this weekend.
Following Arsenal`s recent draw with Crystal Palace, Liverpool are now just one point away from winning the Premier League.
The Reds will play Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield this Sunday and could claim the title with a draw.
Premier League tradition dictates that the newly crowned champions receive a guard of honour from their opponents in the next match, provided the title is secured before the final day.
After the Spurs match on Sunday, Liverpool are scheduled to visit Chelsea on May 4.
If tradition is followed, Chelsea would provide a guard of honour for the Reds upon their arrival at Stamford Bridge, assuming Liverpool have clinched the league by that time.

This potential scenario brings back memories of Liverpool`s ultimately unsuccessful title challenge in 2014.
In April of that year, Liverpool suffered a damaging 2-0 home defeat against Chelsea.
During that match, in which Mohamed Salah notably featured for Chelsea at the time, Steven Gerrard`s infamous slip allowed Demba Ba to score, a moment seen as pivotal.
Following this setback, Liverpool traveled to Crystal Palace, aiming to boost their goal difference, but dramatically surrendered a 3-0 lead to draw 3-3.

Manchester City ultimately won the league title that season.
The next year, in 2015, Chelsea secured the league title, and it was Liverpool, including Gerrard, who formed the guard of honour for them.
In recent years, the rivalry has continued, with Chelsea notably signing players like Moises Caicedo, Enzo Fernandez, and Romeo Lavia, who were also linked with Liverpool.
Therefore, the prospect of potentially receiving a guard of honour at Stamford Bridge is particularly sweet for Liverpool fans.
Many supporters online highlighted the potential irony of players like Caicedo, Enzo, and Lavia, who chose Chelsea over Liverpool, possibly having to participate in the guard of honour.
Another fan pointed out the double irony of Crystal Palace helping Liverpool by drawing with Arsenal, and then Chelsea potentially giving the guard of honour.
Unsurprisingly, Chelsea fans expressed dismay at the prospect, with one stating they hoped Tottenham could prevent it, and another describing the idea as `sickening`.
